There are approximately 20 commercial banks in Mauritius. The banks are not the biggest of the world, but the country is a little bit exotic and not "on the radar" like e.g. Switzerland is. Mauritius have one of the safest bank secrecy laws of the world. The returns are tax free. And there exist other laws that are more "customer friendly" then in other onshore countries.
Normaly every bank did have a private banking department where you get an english speaking private banking official who is assigned to your account. As a client you are provided with the persons contact information for direct communication and other private banking investment chances.
